Some dingus decided to take their April Fool's joke a little too seriously and implemented an AI thingy that I don't fuck with, so I basically packed my bags and went somewhere else.
It's even archived for you; who knows how much longer cohost! has left [src].
As a creative, I find the current ethical consequences around AI (which is really a large language model) fraught, at best. In short: Fuck AI.
But there are others!
And there is a lot more where that came from, including just hosting your own stuff. The small web is wherever the corporation's algos aren't.
